Privacy Policy for App Icons

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 10, 2026

Icon Theming Apps ("the App") is developed by SLCMotor ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

The App does not require you to create an account, and we do not sell your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

  • App settings and preferences: The App stores certain settings locally on your device, such as theme choices, consent choices, and other app preferences.
  • Wallpaper and content loading: The App connects to online sources, including GitHub-hosted files, to load wallpaper lists, wallpaper images, and related content used by the App.
  • Icon request data: If you use the icon request feature, the App reads installed launchable apps on your device locally so you can select apps that are not yet themed.
  • If you send an icon request: The request may include selected app names, package names, component information, Play Store links, exported app icons, and device details such as Android version, API level, manufacturer, model, screen dimensions, installer source, and app version.
  • Support emails: If you contact us by email, we receive the information you include in your message.
  • Donations: If you choose to make a donation, payment processing is handled by Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card information.

2. How Information Is Used

  • To provide icon pack, wallpaper, and customization features.
  • To let you browse, apply, and save wallpapers.
  • To let you submit icon requests for apps you want themed.
  • To respond to support messages and icon requests.
  • To process optional donations through Google Play.
  • To improve compatibility and maintain the App.

3. Icon Request Feature

In the current version reviewed, the App prepares icon requests through your email app. The request is addressed to slcmotorstats@gmail.com and is only sent if you choose to send it.

If you use this feature, the App may create request files on your device temporarily in order to attach them to the email. Those files are used only for building the request.

4. Permissions Used

  • Internet / network access: Used to load wallpapers, online content, and related app resources.
  • Storage or media access on supported Android versions: Used to save wallpapers and create temporary icon request files.
  • Set wallpaper: Used when you choose to apply wallpapers from the App.
  • Installed app visibility: Used for launcher compatibility and to build the optional icon request list.
  • Notifications: May be used for optional app-related notifications on supported Android versions.
  • Billing: Used for optional donations through Google Play.

5. Sharing of Information

We only share information when needed to provide App features or when required by law. Depending on the feature you use, information may be handled by:

  • Google Play: For billing, donations, and licensing-related functions.
  • Your email provider or email app: If you choose to send an icon request or support email.
  • Content hosting providers: Such as GitHub-hosted sources used to deliver wallpaper or app content.

We do not sell your personal information, and this App does not use third-party advertising SDKs in the version reviewed.

6. Data Retention

App preferences are generally stored locally on your device. Emails and icon requests that you send to us may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, fulfill your request, or keep basic support records.

7. Your Choices

  • You can choose not to use the icon request feature.
  • You can choose not to send the prepared icon request email.
  • You can disable notifications in your device settings where applicable.
  • You can stop using the App at any time and remove it from your device.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
